Metro-East

Instructions for
Metro East Residents
2023 Municipal Aggregation Program

All Metro East residents and qualifying small businesses (15,000 kilowatt-hours [kWh] annual usage or less) will receive a notification by mail pertaining to their community’s municipal aggregation program.

Opt-Out Notices

Opt-out notices will come from Constellation NewEnergy explaining your community’s new aggregation program.

If you were previously part of your community aggregation program and wish to continue the benefits of the program, simply do nothing with the letter; you will automatically be re-enrolled in the Program.

Upwards of 90% of all eligible residents participate in the community aggregation program. Although savings are not guaranteed, residents who have participated in the Program since its inception 11 years ago have saved money over Ameren Illinois rates.

Opt-In Notices

These notices are for residents and qualifying small businesses who were not part of the aggregation program and are currently with an alternative retail energy supplier (ARES).

If you receive an opt-in letter, please review your rate with your current supplier and verify there are no early termination fees before making any changes. If you are under an expired contract, you may opt into the Program immediately.

To opt in, log into the Constellation NewEnergy site listed on the letter and enter the number code provided in the letter. You will be redirected to the opt-in site.
